Say goodbye to single-use plastics
The NSW Government is committed to reducing plastic litter across our state.
From 1 November these single-use plastic items will be banned:
- straws, stirrers, cutlery, plates and bowls
- expanded polystyrene food service items including clamshell containers, cups, plates and bowls
- plastic cotton buds
- personal care products containing plastic microbeads.
This means that from Tuesday 1 November, these items can no longer be supplied.
